Counsellors respond on average to 210 calls each week concerning a range of issues including:
- parenting strategies for challenging behaviours
- parent-child relationships
- custody and access, and the
- emotional well-being of children and young people
Parents, carers and family members have direct access to qualified counsellors and can choose to speak with either a male or female counsellor. They are also able to arrange to call back and speak with the same counsellor to work through their issues.
Parentline is a BoysTown service and receives funding support from the Queensland and Northern Territory Governments.
Call Parentline on 1300 30 1300, from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week for the cost of a local call.

The data from the NAPLAN test results gives schools and systems the ability to compare their students' achievements against national standards and with student achievement in other states and territories. It also allows the monitoring of progress over time.
